Frequently Asked Questions


  • Valid Drivers License

    Texas Class C

  • Must be at Least 25 Years of Age

    Secure Ride policy and state law require that drivers ensure that their required documents are up to date and that Secure Ride has current copies. If one of your documents is scheduled to expire soon, you’ll receive email and text notifications asking you to send in your updated documents 30 days before the expiration date.

  • Pass Extensive Background Check


  • Clearance from D/V & Sex Offender Registry


  • Pre-Employment Drug Screening


  • Complete and Pass Live Orientation with Management


  • Minimum of 5 years driving experience


  • Valid Proof of Registration & Insurance

    Any vehicle used to drive with Secure Ride must be a four-door vehicle, no more than 10 years old, and pass a 19-point inspection by a licensed mechanic. The 19-point vehicle inspection is an industry-standard mechanics use to evaluate a car’s safety and operability. It covers everything from fluids to the suspension system.

    Secure Ride LLC may install on behalf of the driver if certain circumstances are met. 

  • Can I share a vehicle with my spouse?

    Yes, Secure Ride LLC drivers who are married can each use the same vehicle when driving with Secure Ride.  When signing up to drive, ensure that both Secure Ride LLC drivers are listed on the vehicle insurance.  The vehicle registration may only be under one name.  As always, no one other than the listed Secure Ride LLC driver and rider(s) may be in the vehicle during the ride. 

  • Updating the vehicle in your profile

    For Safety reasons, you may only have one vehicle associated with your driver profile at a time. You may only use the vehicle or change the vehicle on file. Follow the appropriate steps to update your vehicle at least 48 hours before your next ride.
